We have over 100,000 items in our collection, most of which are available for check-out.

These include DVDs, audiobooks, and books, for children and adults, in English and Spanish. In addition to this, we offer e-books for checkout through OverDrive, and books from other libraries may be acquired through ILL.

Borrowing

Cardholders may check out any circulating material by bringing it to the Circulation Desk and presenting their library card. Most circulating items (including some DVDs) check out for a period of 3 weeks. Most DVDs, magazines, and 7 day books check out for 1 week.

Most cards have a 25 item limit. However, all patrons are also subject to the following limits:

  • Ten DVDs/videos for adult cards; none for juvenile cards
  • One study guide per test, and up to three study guides on one card
  • Two résumé-related books
  • One topic kit

Renewing

Most circulating materials may be renewed five times, unless the item has been requested by another patron. Renewals are automatic, thanks to the miracle of technology. However, fines, or account expirations will interfere with renewals.

Returning

Library items may be returned inside during library hours, in the drop at our Check Out Desk. Items may also be returned in our 24-hour book drop, which is located on the north side of the building (off of Nance St).

Chromebooks and Hotspots should not be returned through the dropbox. Please bring those inside to a staff member.

Requests

Patrons may place requests on any circulating materials (except downloadable OverDrive materials) in person, over the phone, or through our online catalog. There is a limit of 5 pending requests for all patrons.
