Weather permitting, all lanes of eastbound I-20 will be closed and detoured to the frontage roads from near the Duncanville Road/North Main Street exit (MM 462) and Cockrell Hill Road from 10 p.m. Friday, March 14 to 5 a.m. Saturday, March 15 as part of an ongoing corridor improvement project. Drivers can expect delays in the corridor and should be alert to slower traffic. The overall project is expected to complete in early 2025, weather permitting.

On August 14, 2024, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Duncanville Police Officers responded to multiple calls for service regarding a shooting with injury at 875 E Highway 67 Service Road. Within two minutes, officers arrived at the scene and located an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers provided immediate medical assistance to the male and summoned Duncanville Fire Department paramedics to the scene. Duncanville Fire Department paramedics arrived and transported the male to Methodist Dallas Medical Center.
