Texas High School Coaches Association and Texas Farm Bureau Insurance to present inaugural High School Football Coach of the Year Award to Duncanville ISD Head Football Coach
February 6 – The Texas High School Coaches Association and Texas Farm Bureau Insurance will present the inaugural High School Football Coach of the Year Award to Reginald Samples, head coach at Duncanville High School. The THSCA Coach of the Year Award was created to recognize high school coaches for their accomplishments on and off the field/court.
Reginald Samples has had a decorated career of more than 30 years and over 300 wins as a head coach. He has developed Duncanville High School football into one of the most dominant teams in Texas. This year Samples led Duncanville to a 15-0 record and 6A Division I state championship. As a result of earning the THSCA Coach of the Year Award, Samples is now eligible for the National High School Athletic Coaches Association’s National Coach of the Year Award.
