Election Day is May 7, 2022
The 2022 City Officers election will be held Saturday, May 7th. Duncanville voters will go to the polls to elect the Mayor, and Councilmembers to represent Districts 2 and 4 for the upcoming two-year term.
The first official day to file an application for a place on the ballot is Wednesday, January 19th. The application deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18th. Candidate filing packets are now available in the City Secretary's office.

City qualifications for candidacy include:
- Qualified voter;
- Resident of the State of Texas for one year;
- Resident of the City and district for six months; and
- Hold no other public office.
All registered voters in the City of Duncanville may vote for Mayor. Residents of Districts 2 and 4 may vote for their respective candidates. Anyone not currently registered to vote has until April 7, 2022 to register in order to cast a ballot in the May 7th election. Voter registration applications may be obtained at City Hall or the Duncanville Public Library.
