This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information by the City of Duncanville mobile app, also known as OurDuncanville (the “app”). We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, and this policy describes how we collect and use your personal information.
The City of Duncanville, Texas (“City”) is using SeeClickFix (app developer; parent organization CivicPlus, LLC), an online and mobile service request system, to power the app and reporting forms. SeeClickFix is an application that allows City residents to report non-emergency related issues. SeeClickFix can be used via the Web on a desktop computer, laptop, mobile phone, or tablet. SeeClickFix is a public application and the description entered into the app will be visible to the public. Your display name will also be visible unless you choose to submit as Anonymous. Your email address will never be displayed publicly.
Note: Information sent or received by City of Duncanville officials and employees in connection with official City business are public records subject to disclosure or exceptions under the Texas Open Records Act. State law prohibits the investigation of anonymous reports of potential violations of municipal property codes, effective July 1, 2021. Your personal information such as e-mail address, access devices information, debit or credit card information are not subject to disclosure.
To submit a report of a code violation, the reporter is now required to supply their full name and address, and this information will become part of the public records. This applies to online submissions via the SeeClickFix/OurDuncanville application, as well as reports made by phone, email or in person to the Neighborhood Services Department.
Collection of Personal Information
The app may collect personal information from users, including but not limited to name, address, phone number, email address, and location data. We collect this information to provide services to you and to communicate with you about our services. We may also collect non-personal information, such as device information, usage data, and other information related to your interaction with the app. This information is collected automatically and is used to improve the app and our services.
