The Public Works Department is continuing improvements to the City’s wastewater infrastructure with wastewater main rehabilitation work along W. Wheatland Road.
Beginning Monday, September 28, 2026, the right lane of eastbound W. Wheatland Road will be closed beginning near Mercury Avenue and continuing toward S. Santa Fe Trail. The closure is necessary to accommodate heavy machinery and specialized equipment being used for the project.
The lane closure is expected to remain in place for approximately three weeks while work is completed.
Motorists should expect possible delays, use caution when traveling through the work area, and follow all posted traffic control signage.
