The Poe-Hobden Amphitheater in Armstrong Park


Dedicated on December 3, 1989, the Poe-Hobden Amphitheater is named for the two Duncanville Police Officers who lost their lives while serving the citizens of Duncanville, Sergeant Michael Poe and Officer Roger Hobden.

The Poe-Hobden Amphitheater in Armstrong Park can be rented at the Duncanville Recreation Center ($80/hour for residents, $150/hour for non-residents). It is equipped with seating for approximately 175 people under its canopy and includes lights and electricity, if needed.
