Duncanville, Texas — The City of Duncanville is proud to announce its transition to CivicClerk, a leading agenda and meeting management platform from CivicPlus. The move is designed to modernize the City’s public meeting processes, streamline staff workflows, and provide residents with easier access to agendas, minutes, and meeting information.
This transition comes as Texas implements a new requirement for governmental transparency. House Bill 1522 mandates that cities, counties, school districts, and other local governmental entities must post meeting agendas at least three business days prior to a scheduled meeting. This rule replaces the long-standing 72-hour requirement and ensures weekends and holidays are excluded when determining deadlines. The new law strengthens public access to government meetings and aligns with Duncanville’s commitment to open, transparent communication.
With CivicClerk, Duncanville will benefit from faster access for residents to search and view agendas, minutes, and supporting documents, along with improved efficiency for staff through digital tools that simplify agenda creation, document management, and publishing. The system also provides mobile-friendly access, making it easier for community members to stay informed on any device, while ensuring greater transparency by supporting compliance with the new state law and strengthening public trust.
